Unlike Fae, I didn't anxiously look forward to my milestone post but still I thought I should write something monumental. However, I can’t think of anything... so too bad. I’ll plan for post #200 shall I? What is so special about 100 posts anyway?Unfortunately all the life in my eyes has disappeared for the moment. They foresaw it, but it was still a brutal sight to see it come true.
Excerpt from my abstract notebook (please note this was written from the present, in the past tense):
I went to Whole Wheat and Honey today for lunch. A man was there beside Nikki and I on a bar stool up at the window. He was playing his guitar, but the microphone beside him was pointed upwards and idle. I wished he would play Hallelujah. He got up and left, shortly after I wrote that last sentence, and I realized it was Daek’s missionary friend just before Nikki pointed it out to me.
My "Greek" beef donair had a very distinguished American touch to it, which was the only thing that took away slightly from my enjoyment as I ate it. The sauce was a little bit too thin, the beef slightly burnt but seasoned well, the lettuce - red lettuce instead of the typical chopped iceberg, and the pita not quite as warm as I would have liked it but everything tasted wonderful regardless.
