Unlike Fae, I didn't anxiously look forward to my milestone post but still I thought I should write something monumental. However, I can’t think of anything... so too bad. I’ll plan for post #200 shall I? What is so special about 100 posts anyway?

My senses are on fire today, it's strange. As I walked down the hall a few hours ago, it seemed I could smell for the first time in my life. It was amazing actually. I smelled popcorn, pizza, cologne, wet clothing, cardboard, and whiteboard ink... combined nicely with a dose of BO from somebody walking beside me. The last detail I could have lived without, but the rest was interesting enough to experience. My hearing is as acute as usual, helping me to pick up Spanish words in the Latino version of "I Just Can't Wait To Be King." Everything I touch feels soft, and my eyes are, for once, not hurting from the dry air. Taste...

Excerpt from my abstract notebook (please note this was written from the present, in the past tense):
I went to Whole Wheat and Honey today for lunch. A man was there beside Nikki and I on a bar stool up at the window. He was playing his guitar, but the microphone beside him was pointed upwards and idle. I wished he would play Hallelujah. He got up and left, shortly after I wrote that last sentence, and I realized it was Daek’s missionary friend just before Nikki pointed it out to me.

My "Greek" beef donair had a very distinguished American touch to it, which was the only thing that took away slightly from my enjoyment as I ate it. The sauce was a little bit too thin, the beef slightly burnt but seasoned well, the lettuce - red lettuce instead of the typical chopped iceberg, and the pita not quite as warm as I would have liked it but everything tasted wonderful regardless.
Unfortunately all the life in my eyes has disappeared for the moment. They foresaw it, but it was still a brutal sight to see it come true.

Here's where the iPod comes out. I plug into it to recharge.

I'm posting now! Post #100!
