Hey, are you one of those psychos
That writes poetry all the time?
One with many insights and philosophies,
That, on paper, tend to rhyme?

Can you weave your words together with
Elegance and beauty in line after line,
Knitting an afghan of thoughts and dreams,
To warm the heart and comfort the mind?

Do you lose your audience on occasion,
With the subtle depth of devices you comprise,
Or through a heart-breaking, sad, tale of love,
Bring tears of empathy to their eyes?

Have you ever turned to your writing for help,
And uncovered something inside?
While untangling your jumble of thoughts, did you
Discover the answer you’d been trying to find?
