A Fracture of Trust
As the sculpture is built and the one constructing it is more and more pleased with his work, the tool in his hands is getting worn down from the constant pressure. One day it'll fall apart in his hands and he will be surprised because he never realized it was slowly breaking. But does he value it enough to mend it then? Or will he put it away and get one of those mass-produced, flashy deals that all work and look the same? Those won't do a better-than-average job, and they never last very long. Maybe after going through a few of those he'll think of trying to fix the original one... but he might find it's been stolen away by someone who saw the true value in a it and could put it to use better than he. Meanwhile, the sculpture; the tool in his hands is breaking.
