I'm writing again! There's a poem in my purse that I work on every time I sit down at work... I write best when I'm supposed to be doing something else! Haha. Anyway this particular poem is for Fae, and it's going to be included in the letter going out to her :)

My car is on its way to getting fixed... I'm going to GM tomorrow to get a new key made because my only key is so worn out. If that doesn't work we have to pull out the starter piece out of the steering wheel and take it in to get its pins realigned at the locksmith. In any case, hopefully I'll be driving this week!

I made a stupid video for Ashley in return for her "Stuck Like Glue" blooper movie for me. Now we're making it into a regular video exchange.

I miss yall. I totally put that y in by accident and then didn't change it.

Clever thing of the day: "One Life Stand"

Okay, brain's already worn out! Goodnight!

Everyone started ranting at me to post so I guess I'll work on being more diligent with it! I have way too much spare time after all...

So I'm working at Esquires, the coffee shop by the clinic in town and so far it's been great. It's more of my environment - I only work with one other person, I get lots of time on the espresso machine, and the dirty work isn't really that bad at all. Cutting and wrapping sticky caramel squares is seriously the most difficult thing I have to do, aside from dealing with the annoying antics of a certain co-worker of mine that I get stuck with because the three other girls have absolutely refused to work with her and I pretty much can get along with anybody. I'm pretty darn talented at making drinks ;D

Speaking of which, I've been raving about getting a home espresso machine since I started working with coffee. So mom went to the thrift store and found a used one and brought it home for me! Ha, it was pretty funny the first time I tried it. The espresso shot everywhere, somehow, and I completely wasn't expecting it. Mom ended up going online to look for a manual for it. We found one and managed to get the espresso part to work but the steam wand had no pressure so... it's going back to the thrift store today. Apparently there's another one there so I'm gonna try that :)

Demi; I've fallen in love with tea lattes. We have a "Bombay Fog" at work which is basically a London Fog only with chai tea instead of Earl Grey! It's wonderful. The best part is that I can make them properly at home too. I figured out how to steam milk on the stove, and got some vanilla syrup so it's pretty easy. If you ever visit me I'll treat you to as many as you could want!

Primo; I loved your last post haha! Kids and stories of kids always make me smile. I really want to visit you. I imagine you've heard of C and her latest boyfriend? You should have been here over thanksgiving to tease her with me!

Fae; I've finished your letter and a card with a grad picture in it. I have a poem to write and a list of my favorite musical artists and songs to get together before I mail it to you though ;)

Ashley; I love you, your CD is awesome. DO NOT BEND! DO NOT BEND! (please)

Oh wow this guy is so cute. And this video is so not country :S

Lately I keep taking my old brown notebook out, opening it (with the intention of writing), reading a few of the things written there, maybe doodling a little creature or design in the corner of one of the pages, thinking, thinking, thinking, and then putting it down.

This bothers me a little.

Apart from that, I have to say today things seemed to go from the incessant stand-still of my life in the past few weeks, from a dark unknown and frustrating emptiness, to a slightly upturned alignment, and better yet: forward movement! I'm so excited - THINGS ARE GETTING BETTERRRR!!

Fae;
I have been talking to my cousin here about the idea of going to Kelowna together. It may be impossible to make it before you leave, but there's potential for after! Maybe over spring break. I have yet to come up with a proper idea for your writing prompt. It's literally on my to-do list though. You should do the same prompt if you haven't already and post it or email it to me.

Ash-love; I am very much looking forward to visiting you too! Unfortunately my car is being stupid and the key has all of a sudden stopped working. It won't turn forward or backward and barely opens the doors either... I don't know what I'm going to do exactly, but whatever it is will be my project for tomorrow. On an unrelated subject - I have been hired to babysit Cael for Tuesday morning and I'm so excited!

Nediak; Please continue blogging, I enjoy it so unbelievably much.

Dad wants me to teach him some Spanish. I'm not sure how I'm going to manage that, but I'm going to give it a shot. It could be a lot of fun.

And now...
Bed time for me.

I think I'm almost at the point of shutting down this page. If we all still wrote regularly about our individual lives to keep each other posted the way we should, then there might still be a point to it. But since none of us ever update, why still have it?

Hey Fae and Demi; Lately I've had an amazing time back on Flyff partying entirely in Spanish with my Latin friends from Venezuela, Colombia, and Peru! If you decide to join me, choose Glaphan ;)

Mom's breeding Chica with some poodle named Tucker... I think I'm going to avoid the scene whilst he is here ha. It might get pretty graphic.

I'm accomplishing a lot lately. Today the second of three very-much-needed days off, so I am trying to get all the things done that I'm too tired to do after work during the week! This morning I have Mom rides to and from Canadian Tire because she wanted to get her car checked (brakes were squeaking). They called her back and gave her a nice estimate of close to $1000 to fix front and back brakes - based on what we later found out to be some pretty hearty lies as the the condition of them. This was with their 20% off discount too, how pathetic. Dad referred to them as "scam artists" once he had a look at the situation and saw that it wasn't even close to as bad as they said it was. They said the front brake pads had worn down so much that they'd been scraping on the metal and had actually scraped off a layer of the metal on the rotors, making the rotors actually unusable. Dad showed me the front brakes and how there was still pad left on the brakes (granted, not much) and that the rotors were perfectly fine. .... anyway I imagine nobody actually cares, I can't believe I just wrote so much on that.

Moving on...

Mom's ordering Panago, which is fairly exciting.

Anyhow the rest of my day was taken up with making cinnamon buns which turned out to be freaking amazing and they're already all gone. Out of 24, a dozen went to the family of the man who fixed my car for the price of parts, 3 are being shipped out to my grandparents when I go there this evening, and the rest have been eaten already by my family. I'll have to get practiced at making them, they obviously make wonderful gifts. It's too bad they take so much time... they have to mix, then sit for an hour, make the rolls, sit for half an hour, bake for half an hour, then sit for another 15 minutes! All that to be consumed in the next hour by hungry people, not even getting the chance to cool off completely. I guess they are better that way.

After this Panago, I'm heading to my grandparents' place to make some very belated grad thank-you cards. What with all my traveling and then not having a vehicle, then full-time working this is the first chance I've gotten to do them so they're getting done.

Since paying for my car's repairs, I am now completely broke. I have enough to get me enough gas until next pay day. This is going to be my first ever full-time pay cheque and I'm completely stoked about it haha.

Email me sometime you guys, I feel completely out of touch with everyone.

Look at me! I'm in my own bed! I'm living out of a dresser, not a suitcase! I can get up whenever I want! Wow!

Ah I didn't realize how nice it is to have a boring day until today.

There's so many routines I need to get back into, including blogging and, you know, regularly talking to the people I care about. I've been ignoring so many people I'm ashamed to admit it. However, here I am back home and with lots of spare time to catch up on everything from laundry to uploading pictures in Facebook.

I'm going to try to get back into writing and drawing as well... my artistic side is starving to death. Send me prompts!

July 28, 2010

So just to clarify with all to whom this may concern...

We will be leaving Invermere to go to Sicamous on Friday around 11:00 AM. We won't have service because we'll be on a house boat all weekend! We should be back in Invy for Tuesday night, but we'll be leaving early the next morning. We might be taking Brook home to FSJ with us.

Kate; We'll see you next Wednesday afternoon. We're staying that night at my grandparents' place in Canmore.

Thursday we will be heading to Edmonton to drop off Ashley and we'll be spending the night at the Carpenter's.

Friday we'll drive to FSJ with Carpenter if he gets time off to go on the August 7th run. If not we might stay but we'll probably just come home anyway.

The trip is going great! Pictures are always being added to Facebook. <3
